Tide Pools

If you like hiking, you won't want to miss the Carambola Tide Pools. These lovely pools are located at the end of a beautiful two-mile trail, which winds through lush rainforest and ends at a black sand beach. Be sure to wear good walking shoes and bring plenty of water. These pristine pools are well worth the hike to get there.
Sandy Point

National Wildlife Refuge

Featuring a three-mile strip of white sand and turquoise water, this wildlife refuge is a must-see in St. Croix. Snorkelers commonly spot sea turtles and rays here, while beachgoers enjoy the sparsely populated beach. Please note that it's forbidden to stake anything in the sand (including umbrellas), so remember to bring plenty of sunscreen.
St. George Village

Botanical Gardens

Over 1,500 botanical species await you at the St. George Village Botanical Gardens, located on the site of a 19th century sugarcane plantation. Immerse yourself in a diverse array of flora, from succulents to orchids. Don't miss the fully restored blacksmith's shop and plantation supervisor's house.
Buck Island Reef

National Monument

This unique uninhabited island is a protected National Park surrounded by coral reefs. Be sure to save plenty of time for snorkeling, and don't leave without lounging on Turtle Beach – voted one of the world's most beautiful beaches by National Geographic.

Golf Course

Beauty and historic intrigue await you at Fort Christiansvaern, a mere 10-minutes away. Originally constructed in 1749, this traditional fort was built to protect the colony from pirates, slave uprisings and hurricanes. Visitors can take self-guided walking tours for a small fee.

Learn all about the history of St. Croix's at the Estate Whim Museum. As the only sugar plantation museum in the Virgin Islands, this restored 18th century property educates visitors on the industry's past, as well as the slave labor that made it possible.
